This work in two volumes constitutes a critical introduction to a number of central theorists within literary research, which has developed over the last 30 years in Danish university contexts: Paul Ricoeur, Georg Lukács, Walter Benjamin, Umberto Eco, Roland Barthes as well as Jacques Derrida and Paul they Mon. The book is primarily aimed at students at higher education institutions who not only want an introduction to the theorists listed, but also a critical approach to this. Ricoeur, Lukács and Benjamin are dealt with in volume 1, while volume 2 deals with the others.
