The book can be read as a biography of the sculptor Willy Ørskov from 1963 to 1978, but is also a story about an artist family's experiences in France, Italy, other foreign countries and Denmark of environments, ways of life and people - seen from the angle of Ørskov's widow Grethe Grathwol.
