Per Højholt's writing is without parallel the most thoroughly reflected in recent Danish literature. Thus, both poetry and various forms of prose, stories, novels, essays are interacting elements in a coherent practice, in which he himself is part of as a performer. By virtue of this, he is a main source of inspiration for the following generations of Danish writers.
& højholt presents a series of essays on Per Højholt's writing. These essays mainly deal with the later part of the authorship, the Praksis series and the novel Auricula. But there are also readings of Højholt's earliest poetry, as well as the Gitte monologues, Turbo and poems from Poetens Hoved. In addition, Højholt's practice is portrayed via discussion of his concept of written and his thoughts about show and readymades.
