A tradition of breaking up is the first Danish presentation of the avant-garde tradition from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. The avant-garde movements have characterized the 20th century. They have challenged the institutions of art, culture and science. And from the avant-garde circles, the rings have spread and also influenced the broad current of art and culture. The anthology's newly written international and Danish contributions illuminate the avant-garde tradition broadly theoretically and historically and go in-depth with analyzes of individual movements, artists and works.
