Knud Wentzel

Knud Wentzel has researched and taught Danish literature at the University of Copenhagen since 1968. This has resulted in books and articles on these topics

  • Literature as insight into psychological and cross-border experiences. Here, in recent years, I have dealt with folk tales and with the writer and mystic Anker Larsen.
  • The phenomenon of tradition and the historical dimension of existential values.
  • Literature in historical perspective, where I have most recently participated in Hovedsporet. History of Danish literature.
  • This has always been accompanied by an interest in the phenomenon of genre and in textual interpretation.
  • And then there was a detour to the world of travel heroes with a trip around Annapurna in Nepal and about Knud Rasmussen.
